Urban Stormwater BMP Performance Monitoring A Guidance Manual for Meeting the National Stormwater BMP Database Requirements Prepared by GeoSyntec Consultants Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and Urban Water Resources Research Council (UWRRC) of ASCE In cooperation with Office of Water (T) US Environmental Protection Agency. These BMPs filter out pollutants and/or prevent pollution by controlling it at its source. The NPDES stormwater program regulates some stormwater discharges from three potential sources: municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4s), construction activities, and industrial activities. The BMP manual has been drafted to assist review agencies and the regulated community. The methods in the BMP manual can be utilized without need for additional documentation to address the performance standards in the rule.
